Reservation: Reservation for each Armed and Unarmed Branch is described below Unarmed Branch

 

# There will be reservation for ST (P) 10%, ST (H) 5%, SC 7%, and OBC / MOBC 27%.

# Thirty percent (30%) (horizontal) of the vacancies will be reserved for women candidates in the unarmed branch of DEF.

#Ten percent for EWS category.

Age-Limit Assam Police Constable Recruitment 2021:

Candidate age should be between 18 to 25 years as on 1st July 2021 (i.e. candidate should be born on or before 01.07.2003 and born on or after 01.07.1996).

Age Relaxation: Category-wise relaxation in upper age limit is given below:

 

• SC/ST(H)/ST(P): 5 (Five) years
• OBC / MOBC : 3 (Three) years in respect of candidates belonging to OBC / MOBC.
• Home Guard / VDP members (registered) who have served for a period of 3 (three) years or more: Additional relaxation of 3 (three) years
• FMMO/SPO: Additional relaxation of 10 (Ten) years

Educational Qualification Assam Police Constable Recruitment 2021 :

• Un-armed Branch: H.S. OR Class XII Passed for the post of Constable, Unarmed Branch, District Executive Force (DEF) from a recognized Board or Council.
• 
  
• Armed Branch: HSLC or 10th class pass from a recognized Board or Council for the post of Constable of Armed Branch.

Note: Candidates having higher secondary and above educational qualification can also apply for both Armed branch and Unarmed branch. In such a case, in the online application form, the applicant has to clearly mention his/her preference for the posts of Unarmed Branch and Armed Branch.

However, the final decision regarding allotment of successful candidates will rest with the Chairman, SLPRB, Assam.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS TEST (PST): 

Height : (Minimum) Male & Transgender Female 

a) Gen/OBC/MOBC/SC (Male :162.56 cm) (Female :154.94 cm )

b) ST(H)/ ST(P) (Male :160.02 cm)  (Female :152.40 cm )

Chest : (Only for men) Normal Expanded 

a) Gen/OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P) etc. (Normal 80Cm)  (85 Cm Expanded)

b) ST(H) (Normal 78 Cm)  (Expanded 83 Cm)

PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (PET) - 40 MARKS FOR CONSTABLE (UB) AND CONSTABLE (AB) FEMALE CANDIDATES & 60 MARKS FOR CONSTABLE (AB) MALE CANDIDATES : 

Male & Transgender Candidates 

(i) Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 3200 meters race to be completed within 14 minutes (840 seconds). ( 14 Minutes Excellent Time and 10 Minutes Qualified Time)

(ii) Long Jump: Minimum 335 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks). (11 Foot Qualified and 16.5 inch Excellent)

(iii) Chin Up : 20 Marks - ONLY FOR MALE CANDIDATES WHO APPLIY FOR CONSTABLE (AB) (04 Chin Ups Qualified 10 Marks and 14 Chin Ups Excellent 20 Marks)

 

Female Candidates 

(i) Race : Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 1600 meteres race to be completed within 08 minutes . ( 5 Min 30 Sec Excellent Time and 8 Minutes Qualified Time)

(ii) Long Jump: Minimum 244 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks). (07 Foot 3 Inch Qualified and 12 foot 8 inch Excellent)

Written Test :

Written test will consist of 45 multiple choice type questions to be answered on an OMR answer sheet. For each correct answer the candidate will get one mark. Total marks for the Written Test will be 45. There will be no negative marking. The questions will cover the following subjects: b) The subjects to be covered will be as follows:- 

I. Elementary Arithmetic 

II. General English 

III. Logical reasoning/Mental ability 

IV. Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy 

V. General Awareness/General Knowledge and current affairs 

The question paper for Written Exam will be in the following languages: Assamese/ Bodo/ Bengali/English.

ORAL / VIVA VOCE :- Maximum 5 marks

FINAL MERIT LISTS 

Final results would be based on the marks obtained as follows: 

i. CONSTABLE (UB) BOTH MALE/ TRANSGENDER & FEMALE CANDIDATES. 

a) Marks for PET Maximum 40 marks 

b) Multiple choice objective type Written Test: Maximum 45 marks 

c) NCC and Academic : Maximum 10 marks 

d) Oral / Viva voce : Maximum 5 marks 

Total : 100 marks 

ii. CONSTABLE (AB)MALE & TRANSGENDER CANDIDATES 

a) Marks for PET : Maximum 60 marks 

b) Multiple choice objective type Written Test: Maximum 45 marks 

c) NCC : Maximum 05 marks 

d) Oral / Viva voce : Maximum 5 marks 

Total : 115 marks 

iii. CONSTABLE (AB) FEMALE CANDIDATES 

a) Marks for PET : Maximum 40 marks 

b) Multiple choice objective type Written Test: Maximum 45 marks 

c) NCC : Maximum 05 marks
